Proxy voting record

Proxy voting is a mechanism that allows shareholders to vote on corporate matters without being physically present at a shareholder meeting (typically at annual general meetings (AGM)). Instead of attending the meeting in person, shareholders can authorize another individual, known as a proxy, to cast their votes on their behalf. This process is commonly used in corporate governance to facilitate shareholder participation in important decisions, such as electing board members, approving mergers and acquisitions, or voting on executive compensation.

We believe that proxy voting is an important investor right and responsibility and should be exercised wherever possible. Indeed, these rights (together with other share-related rights such as pre-emption rights) should be afforded the same attention and diligence as any other assets we manage for our clients. In addition, the ability to vote strengthens our position when engaging with investee companies and supports the stewardship of our clients’ investments.
