Sydney, 21 January 2026: RQI Investors, an active quantitative equities manager within the First Sentier Group, has expanded its portfolio management, quantitative development and client service capabilities with four new appointments. These additions support the firm’s growth and ongoing commitment to research and portfolio management excellence, data driven investment processes, and exceptional client service.
The new appointments include:
- Jiamin Chen joins RQI Investors as Junior Quantitative Portfolio Manager. Ms Chen was previously a G10 Short Term Interest Rate trader at Citi and was also part of the Data Analytics & Insights team at Colonial First State.
- Sophie Crichton Carolan joins the team as Client Services Associate. Ms Crichton Carolan was previously a marketing and sales administrator at Hemmersbach Group and also held intern roles at Atlassian and CBA.
- Ravi Kasula joins RQI Investors as Senior Data and Systems Engineer. Most recently Mr Kasula was a senior data scientist and engineer at Zurich and previously held roles at Coles and Atlassian. He has 18 years’ experience in IT development, systems and engineering.
- Daniel Qiu joins the business as a Graduate Developer, having completed a Bachelor of Advanced Computing and Commerce (Computer Science and Finance) from the University of Sydney.
