Nigel Foo is the Head of Asian Fixed Income at First Sentier Investors (‘FSI’).
In his role, Nigel is responsible for formulating investment strategies across both Global and Asian fixed income. He is also the lead portfolio manager for two of our flagship strategies namely the Asian Quality Bond and the Asian Strategic Bond.
Prior to joining FSI in 2010, Nigel spent six years with State Street Global Advisors as a fixed income portfolio manager where he gained extensive experience managing one of the largest Asian local currency bond funds in the region, amongst other global fixed income mandates.
Since the start of his career in 1997, Nigel has developed strong research and risk management skills during his stints with several major investment banks including JP Morgan and Credit Suisse.
Nigel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Major in Finance) from National University of Singapore. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Fiona Kwok is a Portfolio Manager for the Asian Fixed Income team at First Sentier Investors (‘FSI’).
Fiona joined FSI in July 2021 and is responsible for formulating investment strategies and analysing Asian portfolios, with a focus on Asian Credit and Hong Kong Dollar bonds.
Prior to FSI, Fiona spent five years in Goldman Sachs with her last role as Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in its Asset Management business, specialised in global investment grade bond portfolio investment. Before that, she served as Credit Analyst at Moody’s Investors Services for four years, covering primarily credit ratings of high yield and investment grade issuers in Greater China. Fiona began her career as Auditor in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Hong Kong.
Fiona holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Major in Finance) from the University of Hong Kong. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Adrian Au is a Senior Manager, Credit Analysis for the Asian Fixed Income team at First Sentier Investors ('FSI').
In his role, Adrian is responsible for in-house credit risk evaluation of Asian credits, with a focus on corporates.
Adrian joined FSI in July 2006 as Manager, Credit Analysis. Prior to joining FSI, Adrian worked as a senior credit analyst for more than 10 years at Global Financial Risk Management Division of Barclays Capital Asia Limited where he covered credit risk analysis of private and listed corporations, infrastructure projects, and banks having extensive experience in different credit and legal environments of Asian countries, Prior to Barclays, he worked in a corporate finance team at one of top four Japanese securities houses after he had gained audit experience from a CPA firm in Hong Kong.
Adrian holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Accounting from University of West London. He has also completed postgraduate studies in Risk Management at the University of Hong Kong.
Clarissa is a Fixed Income Analyst for the Asian Fixed Income team at First Sentier Investors (‘FSI’).
In her role, Clarissa is responsible for research coverage within Asian Market and assisted the team in daily fund management.
Upon completion of her studies, Clarissa joined FSI in January 2016, as a Fixed Income Analyst in the Emerging Markets and Asian Fixed Income team. Prior to relocating to Singapore in March 2018, Clarissa was based in Jakarta and was part of the Indonesian fixed income business covering local rates and corporates.
Clarissa holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Finance) from Monash University.
Jin Hur is a Credit Analyst for the Asian Fixed Income team at First Sentier Investors ('FSI').
In his role, Jin is responsible for the in-depth credit research analysis of Asian credits, with a focus on financial institutions.
Prior to joining FSI in February 2018, Jin worked at ANZ Hong Kong as an Associate Director in Financial Institutions Group Research & Analysis covering India, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
Prior to ANZ Hong Kong, Jin was an analyst at Fitch Ratings Hong Kong's Financial Institutions Group covering Hong Kong, Macau, Korea and Mongolia. Before that, he was a senior consultant at Ernst & Young Sydney's Infrastructure Advisory team. Jin started his career with Ernst & Young Sydney's Assurance and Advisory Services focusing on technology, communications and entertainment sectors.
Jin is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and FRM charter holder. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Sydney.
Emile is an Investment Specialist for the Asian Fixed Income team at First Sentier Investors (‘FSI’).
In her role, Emile represents the Asian Fixed Income investment team internally and externally with clients, consultants and prospects, and provides a technical link between investment, sales, product, responsible investment and marketing functions ensuring integrity and consistency of communications and institutional representation of investment processes and capabilities.
Prior to joining FSI in April 2022, Emile worked at Western Asset Management as a Client Service Associate for 5 years, servicing institutional fixed income investors and supporting sales efforts in Asia ex-Japan.
Before that, she spent 4 years in product management in Deutsche Bank Securities Services, where she worked on cross-border trading and settlement schemes. Emile began her career as a graduate analyst in Deutsche Bank, completing rotations over the course of a year in various transaction banking businesses such as cash management, trade finance and securities services.
Emile holds double degrees in Business (major in Finance) and Accounting from Singapore Management University. She is also a CFA Charterholder.
Jingfei Zhang, based in our Singapore office, is an Investment Analyst for the Asian Fixed Income team at First Sentier Investors (‘FSI’).
Jingfei joined FSI in July 2021 and is responsible for Macro coverage, with a focus on Asian Rates and Currencies, and assisting portfolio managers. Prior to joining FSI, Jingfei worked in the Multi-Asset Investment team at Great Eastern Life where he was involved in the Tactical Asset Allocation process for Macro Assets.
Jingfei holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Major in Banking and Finance) from Nanyang Technological University.
