RQI Investors, an Australian-based active quantitative equities manager and part of the First Sentier Investors Group, today launches across the UK and continental Europe to coincide with its 15-year anniversary in Australia.
Founded in 2008 and previously known as Realindex Investments, RQI Investors is an active quantitative manager managing strategies across global equities, emerging markets and global small companies. This will be the first time its strategies are marketed to clients, both wholesale and institutional, in Europe.
Andrew Francis, CEO of RQI Investors, has been with the business since 2009. He commented: “As we celebrate our 15-year anniversary in Australia, we’re very pleased to announce the next stage in our global growth journey and launch RQI Investors in Europe.
“Our conviction in our active management capability and the insights and research provides a unique combination of attributes that enables us to deliver long-term, investment outcomes. We firmly believe we provide a compelling offer for European clients, complementing existing First Sentier Investors strategies in the EMEA region.”
Since its inception, RQI Investors has grown its assets under management to approximately €17.7 billion[1] and has expanded its team globally to 17 team members. It has also evolved and expanded its strategies to include its 15-year track record in Value and its more recently launched Diversified Alpha[2] strategies, to meet client interests in accessing active funds as a complement or replacement to traditional equities strategies.
Mr Francis went on to say: “Over the last 15 years, our team and processes have been tested by a number of different market events and environments. We have learned from these and have evolved our processes, while our conviction has remained unwavering. This conviction, coupled with our clients’ patience, has rewarded the business with a strong track record of performance.”
