Niall Mills
Managing Partner, Global Head of Igneo Infrastructure Partners

Niall Mills is the Managing Partner and the Global Head of Igneo Infrastructure Partners (‘Igneo’) based in London. He is a member of the Global and European Investment Committees and a Board Member of a number of the Portfolio Companies.

Niall has had a 35 year long career in the Infrastructure sector as an Engineer, Project Manager and Investment Manager. He joined FSI in 2008 as a founding member of the European Infrastructure Business and became Managing Partner of the global infrastructure business in 2020 which subsequently rebranded to Igneo Infrastructure Partners in 2022.

With Igneo as the independently branded direct infrastructure business of First Sentier Investors, Niall was invited to join the executive leadership team of FSI in October 2022. 

Marcus Ayre
Partner & Head of Europe

Marcus Ayre is a Partner in the Infrastructure Investments team based in London, and is a member of the EDIF I, II & III and GDIF Investment Committees.

Prior to joining FSI in 2007, Marcus spent 10 years in European investment banking at Merrill Lynch, HSBC and Barings.

Marcus holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Birmingham and is a qualified barrister.

Nick Grant
Partner, Head of Asset Management, Europe

Nick Grant is the Head of Asset Management, Infrastructure Investments, Europe and is a member of the EDIF III Investment Committee.

Nick is responsible for asset management of European infrastructure assets. Nick currently sits on the board of directors of investee companies Coriance and Scandlines.

Prior to joining FSI in 2018, Nick was the CEO Severn Trent Services. Prior to this role, Nick held senior roles at Centrica PLC and Marakon Associates.

Nick holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School and a Master in Management from Ipesup (Paris).

Gregor Kurth
Partner, Head of Transactions, Europe

Gregor Kurth is Head of Transactions, Infrastructure Investments, Europe and is a member of the EDIF I, II & III Investment Committee.

Gregor is responsible for the origination and execution of new infrastructure investment opportunities in Europe. Gregor currently sits on the Supervisory Board of investee companies MVV Energie AG and Utilitas Group.

Prior to joining FSI in August 2010, Gregor worked for 3i and Deutsche Bank.

Gregor holds an MSc in International Finance and Accounting from City University of London and a BSc in International Economics from Maastricht University (Netherlands).

Danny Latham
Partner & Co-Head Australia and New Zealand

Danny Latham is a Partner in the Infrastructure Investments team. He is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2007.

Danny is primarily responsible for GDIF portfolio management and business development including fundraising and deal origination. Danny is a member of the infrastructure investments Senior Management Team and the GDIF, EDIF I and II Investment Committees. Danny currently sits on the board of directors of Water Utilities Australia (WUA).

Prior to joining FSI, Danny was director of RREEF Infrastructure based in London and Sydney, with responsibilities for portfolio management, asset acquisition and asset management and was Senior Partner and a foundation member of AMP’s infrastructure team in 1994. 

Danny has a Masters of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Hamish Lea-Wilson
Partner, Head of Transactions, Europe

Hamish Lea-Wilson is Head of Transactions, Infrastructure Investments, Europe and is a member of the EDIF I, II & III Investment Committee.

Hamish is responsible for the origination and execution of new infrastructure investment opportunities in Europe.  Hamish currently sits on the board of directors of investee companies Electricity North West, Finerge and Scandlines.

Prior to joining FSI in June 2008, Hamish worked for PwC.

Hamish holds a Bachelor of Economics from Durham University.

John Ma
Partner & Head of North America

John is a Partner and Co-Head of Igneo Infrastructure Partners team in North America, and is a member of the GDIF Investment Committee.

John is currently a board director at Patriot Rail, Terra-Gen, and Rialto Bioenergy. Prior to joining the team in 2018, John held a senior role at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, which operates the bi-state region’s airports, ports, bridges and tunnels, and PATH commuter rail. 

Prior to that, John was a Managing Director and head of US infrastructure advisory in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co.  John has a J.D. from Yale Law School and an A.B. from Harvard College.

Chris McArthur
Partner & Co-Head Australia and New Zealand

Chris is a Partner in the Infrastructure Investments team. He is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2007.

He is a member of the Investment Committees for GDIF and WIIF funds.  Prior to joining FSI in 2007, Chris headed the commercial division of Pacific National, Australia’s largest private rail group, and held senior management positions with Qantas in Sydney and London including as head of QantasLink regional airline group.

Chris is a current Director of Brisbane Airport, Adelaide Airport and Patriot Rail & Ports in the US, a former Director of Perth Airport and former Chairman of Airports Coordination Australia Ltd.  Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Melbourne where he also holds an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
